Joseph L. Segrato

Joseph L. Segrato, an AV rated attorney, was born in Houston, Texas, on November 7, 1940. He was admitted to the Texas bar in 1965 and also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas. His preparatory and legal education were both at the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Segrato earned his B.B.A. in 1962 and J.D. in 1965 and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Phi Alpha Delta. He is a member of  the San Antonio Bar Association, the Hidalgo County Bar Association, the Nueces County Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Segrato has been accepted for membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates and was named Best Lawyer in America and Best Lawyer in Texas. He is also a member of the National Council on Litigation Management, the National Council on Ethical Billing and the National Mediation Academy.

Joe has over 40 years of personal injury trial experience and is recognized as one of the foremost defense lawyers in Texas. He is heavily involved in the defense of complex significant injury cases including those involving construction accidents, products liability, environmental and toxic torts, mold and mildew, liquor liability, and commercial litigation. Joe has tried over 200 cases to a verdict throughout the State of Texas and in federal courts.
